Between a central location in northwest Houston, a community-forward atmosphere, and family-friendly neighborhoods, Oak Forest and Garden Oaks have it all.

Established in 1947, almost all of the first homes developed in Oak Forest were sold to World War II veterans looking for peaceful, serene living. Carefully planned with special care paid to green spaces and schools, Oak Forest eventually grew to be home to over 20,000 people. Predating Oak Forest by about a decade, Garden Oaks flourished, especially in the late 1900s, when an influx of young residents elevated the quiet neighborhood into the elegant, family-friendly sanctuary we know today.

Listed among the 10 Hottest Neighborhoods in Houston, both Oak Forest and Garden Oaks stand tall with charming single-family homes and bungalows in a variety of styles, such as traditional ranch. Homes typically sell for half a million to just under a  million dollars.
